The community gathered for an urgent public meeting on 20th November 2024 at Richard Bentley Smalley Memorial Hall to address the outrageous and unlawful actions of Rochdale Borough Council.
The meeting saw an impressive attendance, exceeding the venue's capacity with over 150 participants. These included community members, individuals connected to the Hall, and some local councilors. However, despite being invited, no representatives from Rochdale Council were present.
One by one, the remarkable volunteers rose and shared their personal reasons for volunteering. Emotions were high and tears flowed, yet with each other's support, they persevered and delivered their own exceptional speeches to the public and making it clear that they stand with Hopwood DePree.
The meeting was recorded and has been recently uploaded to Hopwood DePree's YouTube channel. You can watch the full video below. Please share it widely so we can together #SaveHopwoodHall.
